About the Art

Timothy ‘s sculptures are classical in thought, design, and execution.

Three of his favorite artists offered inspiration for his portraits and figurative creation. In his sculptures, you can see hints of their style.

They were Jean-Antoine Houdon a French sculptor (1741- 1828) he loved his Benjamin Franklin portrait, George Washington, Life size, Diana, If you look you can see hints of Houdon’s style in his portraits.

American sculptor (1848 – 1907). Tim admired the detail in St. Gauden’s Lincoln sculptures and his heroism that is evident in his military sculptures.

One of his most memorable moments for Tim was his visit to the St. Gaudens National Park in New Hampshire on his way back from a ski trip. He was in awe of the greatness of this American sculptor. St. Gaudin did nice relief work C.S. Lewis relief. Lastly Rodin another French sculptor (1840 – 1917)

The Eagle

Tim created in 1978 to pay tribute to the family members who served their country. Tim came from a military family. His brother served in Vietnam, father served in WW II, grandfather was a West Point graduate, his great- grandfather was also a West Point and his great-great grandfather also graduated West Point.

The Eagle

Civil War Union Brigadier General. A career US Army officer, he graduated from West Point ninth in the class of 1840. He saw service in the Seminole War, the Mexican War and participated in the Sioux Indian frontier Battle of Blue Water. At the start of the Civil War, he was a Colonel Chief Quartermaster of the Army of the Potomac. Stationed in New York City, he was promoted Brigadier General coordinating supplies and transportation for troops in the field for the entire war. For distinguished service, he was brevetted Major General of US Volunteers in March 1865. After the war, he remained in the Regular Army and retired as Assistant Quartermaster General of the US Army in 1881.
