Where Sculpture Speaks to the Heart

Honoring the Legacy of Master Sculptor Timothy A. Maslyn

March 8, 1957 – November 20, 2008

In 1993, my late husband Timothy A. Maslyn and I founded Maslyn Studios, a fine art bronze sculpture studio rooted in love, collaboration, and shared creative vision. Our goal was simple but meaningful — to work together as husband and wife, blending our talents to bring Timothy’s sculptural vision to life and to share his work with others.

Timothy was a master sculptor whose work focused primarily on realistic figurative art, including athletic forms, life-like bronze portraiture, and emotionally resonant commissioned pieces. Each sculpture he created was driven by passion, precision, and a deep respect for human experience — qualities that continue to define Maslyn Studios to this day.

As our studio grew, so did our dreams of expanding into new markets and reaching wider audiences who appreciated the power of fine art sculpture. But everything changed on November 20, 2008, when Timothy passed away. In that moment, our shared dream was paused. I chose to focus on raising our daughters while keeping Maslyn Studios running on a limited basis — fulfilling annual commitments and occasionally selling Timothy’s existing sculptures.

Over the years, I often thought of returning to this work full-time. Life’s obstacles, however, made the path unclear. But now, with our daughters grown and building their own lives, I feel called to return to the studio — to honor Timothy’s legacy and continue the work we once built together. Even though he is no longer here in person, I carry his spirit and vision with me every day.

Today, I am proud to re-establish Maslyn Studios and share Timothy’s most powerful works with the world once again. Among his most meaningful creations are:

  • The Eagle – a tribute to patriotism, military service, and scouting
  • The Fireman – honoring the courage of our first responders
  • Tribute to The Unborn – a memorial of compassion, healing, hope, and love

My hope is that these sculptures will resonate with you as they have with so many others — offering beauty, reflection, and a connection to something greater. Whether you’re an art lover, a collector, or simply someone moved by sculpture that speaks to the heart, I invite you to explore Timothy’s work and become a part of this continuing story.

With gratitude,

Janine Maslyn
